Spencer Bench Cabin

Perched at an elevation of 1,900 feet at the terminus of a scenic trail, this Alaskan yellow cedar structure offers a rugged escape into the Chugach National Forest. Guests can enjoy sweeping vistas of the Spencer Glacier, local lakes, and the Placer River Valley from nearby alpine meadows. This trapper-style retreat accommodates up to eight travelers with wooden bunks and basic furnishings. While it provides a cozy kerosene heater, visitors must bring all essential supplies, including food, bedding, and water. It serves as a remote base for exploring local peaks or observing diverse wildlife in their natural habitat.
