Uncle Bud's Hut

Perched at an elevation of 11,380 feet, this mountain refuge offers breathtaking views of Bald Eagle Mountain and Mount Massive through its southern window-wall. Ideal for backcountry enthusiasts, it serves as a perfect base for skiing or a stepping stone for those mastering the sport. The interior features two bedrooms and a large communal sleeping area, accommodating up to 16 guests. Guests can prepare meals using a wood-burning stove and propane burners, with essential kitchenware provided. While the experience is rugged and off-grid, solar lighting and basic amenities like an outhouse and wood-burning heat ensure a functional stay in the high country.
